See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Located upstream of the bridge, the Mug House can be identified by its flower-filled hanging baskets in summer. It's a friendly pub that welcomes locals and visitors, serving five beers including from Bewdley, Timothy Taylor, Purity, and also changing beers. Prices are above the typical price for the area. There are cosy settles and a log fire in the lounge bar in winter, and to the rear is a sun terrace and glass-covered patio entwined with grape vines and wisteria next to a fish pond. Major sporting events are sometimes shown on a discrete TV. A la carte and set menus are available in the restaurant, bar meals are available at lunchtimes, and Sunday Lunches on Sundays. Pizzas may be available after main food service hours during summer. For visitors to Bewdley, the pub has 6 en-suite rooms. Wheelchair access is gained by the side entrance via the fire exit; ask staff for assistance. Otherwise access to the bar has a step at the front door, and to the WCs (not adapted).
