A town centre pub opposite the Town Hall, dating from 1865. The single room has quiet tables for meals towards the back and the front gets very lively on rugby match days. Friday and Saturday evenings are dominated by a disco prior to night-clubbing, when there may be restrictions on casual dress such as wearing shorts. Breakfast is available from 10am and then bar meals Monday to Saturday during the day. No food on Sundays. Ramped access from the side under the arch from Vicar St, wider WC (not fully adapted) in the ladies toilet (gentlemen ask at the bar to access it).
