Accessed through a passageway by the bus stop, near Severn Side South, The Retreat is on three levels. The pleasant secluded garden has an outside bar in summer, and a smoking area. Note that the garden closes in the evenings at 9.30pm. A winding flight of stairs off the passageway leads to the bar on the first floor, and on the top floor is a lounge overlooking the main street. The WCs are on the top floor.

It's a modern bar featuring sporting events on TV, games, events, live music, cobs, food at weekends (pizzas) and conversation. The real ale is from Wye Valley brewery.
